Flexibility...to Connect

“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” -Sir Issac Newton.

SDR Fulfilled

Since the early 1990s, Software Defined Radio has been a maturing technology. Early applications were primarily defense related, with SDR slowly finding its way into a wider scope of radio systems and applications. Each generation of SDR has introduced an incrementally enhanced degree of flexibility into radio systems. Recent breakthroughs in development have enabled BTC to take this process straight to its limit, greatly simplifying the processing channel, with the entirety of radio architecture implemented fully within software. This will not only fulfill the vision of the SDR community, but will also dramatically increase the pace of development for cognitive radio systems as well. Amazing solutions providing cost effective and ubiquitous broadband services to the public will result.

Broadband T's Wireless Signal Processor or WiSPTM will enable this capability, with analog and RF signal processing blocks streamlined and minimized, enabling the entire radio function to be moved into its digital signal processing blocks and be implemented by software. Whether any given WiSPTM chip is currently engaged in downloading GPS information from a satellite, uploading a file through a WiFi link, providing air to ground communications to guide a pilot to another safe landing, opening your garage door, or some combination thereof, all will be determined by the software currently loaded and running on the chip.

Early adopters of our technology will include the Wireless Base Station, (cell phone), Remote Radio Head, (RRH), and broadband services markets; providing the capability for cell and network service providers to update their networks to any future standard, with merely an upload; true forward compatability. The ability to create entirely new networks merely by reprogramming our technology, (once installed), has the power to alter the wireless cell and broadband services landscape, bringing dramatically advanced and improved services to its customers overnight, ...literally.

Ultimately, no portion of the wireless industry will remain unaffected, no developments remain unaltered; the internet of things, (IOT), telematics, the connected home, ubiquitous connectivity, all gain significant advantage from Broadband T technology.
